This 20-minute motion picture was the original pilot for the Digimon Adventure series, and tells, in more detail, the story that was regaled in Ep. 20 of Adventures. The story of the mysterious Digimon sighting and battle outside the Hieghton Veiw Terrace, where all the Chosen Children live.

When Taichi's little sister, Hikari, finds an Egg on their computer. The egg comes to life, hatching into a Digital Monster. Taichi and Hikari befriend Koromon, as the monster calls itself. However, when another Digimon is warped into the human world, Koromon evolves, and a battle between the two takes place, leaving Taichi and Hikari as helpless bystanders. The kids first encounter with Digimon shape them into the heroes they become in the series.

This movie takes place after the Adventure series ends. It begins when a new Digimon Egg is found on the internet, and manages to penetrate into almost every computer system in Japan. When the egg hatches, it's identified as a new kind of Digimon, a Virus-type. It sustains itself by eating data from various system, and starts wreaking havok in Japan. As it consumes more and more data, it continues to evolve. And Taichi and Koushiro decide it's time to stop it.

They're off, sending Agumon and Tentomon through the internet to fight off this new enemy. But, with the Virus controlling systems like the American military, all too soon, this digital menace may become all too real. Calling in the help of Yamato and Takeru, they hope that they can stop what's already begun, and maybe save this world a second time.

Digimon Adventure 3D: Digimon Grand Prix! was first shown in July 2000 in Sanrio Puroland and in Sanrio's character theme park Haromy Land. The movie was later rerun at Toei's anime festival "Tobidasu! 3D Toei Anime Matsuri" on 03.10.2009.
Together with Digimon Savers 3D: Digital World Kiki Ippatsu!, and 2 other CG anime works by Toei, it was released on DVD on 21.02.2010.

Occuring in the summer during 02, Takeru and Hikari are vacationing in America, visiting their friend Mimi. However, a mysterious wind passes over the world, and suddenly all the original Chosen Children have dissapeared. Hikari feels the presence of a 'crying Digimon', and they follow her feeling to where a young American boy is facing off a large Digimon with his Digimon partner. It seems that the boy knows this monster he's fighting, and tells his partner not to hurt it. After being struck a few times, it dissapears, and the boy runs away from Hikari and Takeru.

The two send out a help signal to the other Destined, and the others hurry to meet them in America to track down the origins of thier sempai's dissaperances. Along the way, the three meet Wallace, an American DigiDestined, with a mysterious past. As a group, the six hurry to the Summer Memory, where the battle to decide the fate of the original Chosen Children, as well as the fate of Wallace's own Digimon, hangs in the balance.

After the events of 02, everything is finally getting back to normal. That is, until a strangely familiar icon starts showing up on computer systems around the Japan. And not just computer systems... TVs, mobile phones, video games; anything with a screen with online capabilities. And this icon seems to be looking for somone... Yagami Taichi, and Ishida Yamato, who defeated it several years before. Yes, it turns out that this jellyfish digimon is in fact Diablomon, the Virus-type Digimon that was defeated in the second movie. But this time, he's learned to make himself physical, and is sending thousands of copies of himself into the real world.

Koushiro and Ken devise a plan to rid the world of the virus once and for all, but it'll take the help of all the Destined, past and present. Once again, it's a race against time to put a stop to Diablomon's plot... but even that is cloaked in shadow.

Will the revival of Omagamon be enough to stop Diablomon a second time, or will the millions of copies prove enough of a power boost to shrug off the 'Digimon Champion of Justice'? Of course, he hasn't seen the new breed of Chosen, nor the new techniques. It's a fight to the finish, with the destruction of Tokyo resting on the line.

The fifth Digimon movie is set in the third season, the Tamers Universe.

During summer vacation, Takato is sent to see his cousin in Okinawa. His parents think it'll be good for him to travel and spend some time in the small village, away from the big city. Takato's not exactly thrilled about the trip, but as he stays with his cousin, Kai, they begin to form an understanding. Of course, keeping Guilmon a secret is a chore in itself.

Back in Tokyo, a brutal Digimon confronts Ruki and defeats Renamon, before wreaking havok and promising to return.

In Okinawa, a the daughter of a famous software giant is chased by a shark-type Digimon, and Takato sends Guilmon out to help, revealing the existance of Digimon to the girl and Kai. The girl recognizes a form of Digimon, called a 'V-Pet'. As more and more cluse start to point towards the company producing V-Pets, Ruki meets Takato and Jenrya-Li, to get to the bottom of the mystery.

But when the true plot beneath the V-Pets is uncovered, will the three Ultimate level Digimon and their Tamers be ready to stop an evil that has crossed dimensions to put it's plan in motion? The adventure begins, and ends, with this...
