Toaru Kagaku no Railgun
* Based on Kamachi Kazuma's original story set in Academy City. Following the lives of four special friends, their adventures in Academy City — a city where about 80% of its 2.3 million citizens are students working to develop psychic powers and advanced technology — are told: Electro-master Misaka Mikoto — a headstrong Level 5 esper and the third strongest in the city, Shirai Kuroko — a Level 4 Teleporter and Mikoto's perverted roommate, Uiharu Kazari — Kuroko's shy Level 1 partner at Judgment, the city's public safety committee, and finally Saten Ruiko — Kazari's mischievous friend, a Level 0. Recently, several urban legends have surfaced in Academy City: a mysterious stripping woman, a boy who can negate any force, and a way to up one's psychic level. One by one these legends are confirmed as true. Especially the latter case has some disturbing ramifications, since increased powers lead to more severe crimes... Note: This side story is set before and during the same time and location as the events of the Toaru Majutsu no Index light novels.

* Based on Fuyukawa Motoi`s spinoff manga of Kamachi Kazuma`s Toaru Majutsu no Index light novel series. Set in Academy City, a city of scientifically advanced superhuman students, located to the west of Tokyo, in a world where magic is also real. The story follows the adventures of Electromaster Misaka Mikoto, nicknamed Railgun due to her signature move, one of the Level 5 espers and the third strongest in Academy City, and her friends. After the events of the Level Upper incident, normality seems to have returned to the life in Academy City. Until one day Mikoto gets the feeling that she is being watched. Eventually she finds out about the Someone is Watching You urban legend and that several other students have also been experiencing the same thing, eventually driving them into social withdrawal. As the number of such discomforting moments increases, Mikoto steadily becomes more paranoid and it is now up to her friends, Shirai Kuroko, Uiharu Kazari and Saten Ruiko to help her out of this predicament. Note: The OVA received an early pre-airing during the Dengeki Geneon Music Fest on Sunday, September 26, 2010 in Tokyo Dome City`s JCB Hall. The DVD/BD release date was October 29, 2010.
